Joseph George

Hello, I’m Joseph!

I’m the Assistant Sports Analyst at Silver Bulletin , where I help build statistical models across the NBA, NFL, and NCAA. My work blends modeling, large-scale data engineering, and longform writing aimed at making complex ideas intuitive.

I also serve as a Basketball Analytics Associate for the Mexico City Capitanes in the NBA G-League, developing proprietary metrics, tracking systems, and scouting tools to support player evaluation and team decision-making. I’m especially interested in advantage creation, value estimation, and how teams maximize efficiency under real-world constraints.

In addition to my sports analytics work, I’m a Research Assistant at the Burning Glass Institute , using large-scale labor-market and skills data to model how technology, policy, and employer decisions shape economic opportunity.

At Rutgers University–New Brunswick, I double-majored in Computer Science and Business Analytics, with much of my coursework and research spanning statistics, predictive modeling, and information theory. I care a lot about how human behavior interacts with statistical systems.

You can find some of my writing on my blog, The Zone Master , or reach me at joseph.a.george@gmail.com.
